He has always been at the very leading edge of technology, but that doesn’t make him a nerd. It began when he purchased an IBM PC during his college years in the early 1980s, and it changed him forever.
Mike’s early professional life went from Industrial Engineer to Network Engineer to Technology Sales Engineer. Then came LinkedIn, and everything changed again. Since 2004, Mike has been coaching, training, and speaking on LinkedIn, with a primary focus on business development and growth.
Mike isn’t all business by any means. He has loved music since childhood. He has attended over 1,000 concerts, beginning with Elvis Presley, Bob Marley, and Led Zeppelin. He performed at the infamous Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco.
In the 2000s, Mike would purchase large blocks of concert tickets so his coworkers and friends could enjoy the show together, featuring artists such as The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, and Phil Collins.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mike hosted business gatherings in Costa Rica for business partners and friends. They lasted for months.
Mike now continues his LinkedIn work from Spain. He recently moved to Madrid and got married to a Spanish woman he met 16 years ago through LinkedIn. They are both 65. Learn more Mike O’Niel Esp #198, listen to our call together.
Mike suffers from Prostate Cancer and feels as good as ever, thanks to surgeries, treatments, a healthy lifestyle and the Spanish health care system.
